What Zalgo Text Actually Is

Z̷a̴l̸g̶o̵ text is not a special font and nothing gets installed. It is built from Unicode combining diacritical marks — the same accent-style characters used to write letters like é or ñ. These marks (Unicode range U+0300 to U+036F) are designed to attach to the character before them. Normally you would add one. Zalgo adds many: marks that sit above the letter, below it, and straight through the middle. Stack enough of them and each letter bleeds far outside its normal box, creating that signature corrupted, overflowing look.
